The Pros and Cons of Filming F&I Transactions

Ryan Daly, KPA’s F&I District Manager for the East Central Region, spoke with Automotive News about the debate when it comes to filming transactions in the F&I office. Although he finds that the practice of video recording isn’t as popular as it was several years ago, there are pros and cons of filming F&I transactions that dealers should weigh.

Daly commented that when he was a dealership finance manager, he found the practice to be helpful for improving his sales techniques with customers. Although it can be considered invasive and require additional upkeep and disposal, video recording can serve as a useful compliance training tool.
