KPA Weighs In On Safeguards Rule Deadline Extension

KPA Senior Manager of Legal Affairs, Robert Ebin, Esq., spoke with Wards Auto about the impact of the deadline extension to comply with the Safeguards Rule requirements. The requirements to hire a “qualified individual” can be one of the more difficult requirements to fulfill and dealers can’t wait to find someone, whether internally or externally. Ebin commented on what the extension means for dealers and that they should consult with their legal counsel to ensure compliance.
