Pop Quiz: Forklift Safety

Do you know your forklift safety and OSHA compliance essentials? Or are your people and your business at risk of an accident? Take the Forklift Safety Pop Quiz.

Know what’s cool?
Forklifts.

They’re some of the most useful tools we have. From warehousing to manufacturing, mining to agriculture, countless modern industries and businesses couldn’t function without forklifts. They’re powerful enough to move multiple tons, but precise enough to do coin tricks. They’re also an essential part of military operations.

I’m far from the only out there who think forklifts are rad. People throughout the world (especially kids—kids love forklifts) play forklift simulation games, build forklifts out of LEGO, and even create forklift memes.

You know what’s not cool?
Forklift accidents.

If you’ve been lucky enough to never witness one in person, take my word for it. I wouldn’t recommend Googling it.

Despite how gruesome and deadly forklift-related incidents are, they happen with alarming frequency throughout industries every year. In 2020, forklifts (which the Occupational Safety and Health Administration likes to call “powered industrial trucks”) were involved in over 7,000 injuries. Like I said, not cool.
