Lafayette, Colo. – November 12, 2020 – On the heels of receiving the 2020 Business Assistance Providers Environmental Leadership Award, KPA EHS consultant Glorianna L. Corman, REM, CHMM, CSP, has earned three more industry honors.

The honors include the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals’ (AHMP) Hazardous Materials Professional of the Year Award and the Distinguished Service Recognition Award, as well as Distinguished Chapter Recognition for the AHMP’s Central Ohio Certified Hazardous Materials Managers Chapter, of which Ms. Corman serves as President. The first two awards salute an individual, while the third commends a local chapter of the organization.

Ms. Corman, a KPA Senior Risk Management Consultant, was selected for the individual awards for her “myriad of efforts” in EHS, according to Charles W.L. (“Chip”) Deale, FASAE, CAE, AHMP Executive Director. Mr. Deale also praised Ms. Corman’s leadership of the Central Ohio Chapter, commenting that “[i]n achieving its results, Central Ohio has established itself as a model for other AHMP chapters!”

A Year of EHS Industry Recognitions

The Hazardous Materials Professional of the Year Award given to an AHMP Professional Member in recognition of that member’s “extraordinary technical, professional, educational, training, and/or administrative contributions to the EHS&S field and to AHMP and/or its chapters” in the calendar year prior to when the award is presented.

The Distinguished Service Recognition Award honors AHMP members who achieve at least seven criteria, such as making a hazardous materials presentation or publishing a paper on a hazardous materials management topic, within the previous calendar year. The recent AHMP selections aren’t the first EHS industry honors for Ms. Corman in 2020. In July, she was chosen for the 2020 Business Assistance Providers Environmental Leadership Award by the National Steering Committee (NSC) of Small Business Environmental Assistance Programs (SBEAPs) & Small Business Ombudsmen (SBO’s).
