Hazard Communication remains the most frequently cited OSHA standard, and the reasons for noncompliance are well documented. Managing hazardous chemicals in the workplace carries significant legal obligations, and failure to meet even one requirement can expose an organization to substantial penalties and liability.
A fully compliant HazCom program requires three distinct elements. First, a written program must be established to document the procedures by which an organization identifies, communicates, and manages chemical hazards.
Second, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) must be maintained in current form and made readily accessible to all employees for each hazardous chemical present on-site. Third, employees must receive adequate training, sufficient to ensure a thorough understanding of the hazards to which they may be exposed and the protective measures available to them.
Failure to satisfy any of these requirements constitutes a violation of 29 CFR 1910.1200. KPA provides the tools, training, and documentation support necessary to bring your HazCom program into full compliance.
From reducing incidents to growing a lasting safety culture, KPA's three pillars bring together the people, tools, and expertise your business needs for complete, continuous compliance.
KPA's safety and compliance tools give dealerships everything needed to stay ahead of risk.
