Multifactor authentication for every login

Multifactor Authentication Solution

One phished password can open the DMS, the CRM and the F&I systems. With MFA, a password alone isn't enough: getting in takes a tap on the phone in your employee's pocket. It's the multifactor authentication the FTC Safeguards Rule requires, and it takes a few seconds at login.

Multifactor Authentication for The Automotive Industry

Multifactor Authentication Your Team Won't Complain About

A salesperson with a customer at the desk doesn’t want a six-digit code to read off a text. With Duo, approving a login is a tap on a phone, and they’re back to the deal in seconds. That tap guards the DMS, the CRM, email, and lender and OEM portals, all from one Cisco Duo Essentials console. When someone leaves, you shut off their access that day, and every login leaves a record your Qualified Individual, auditors and cyber insurer can review.

MFA Features

Explore the capabilities behind a login check your salespeople will actually use.

A Tap, Not a Code

  • Push approval on a phone, with no six-digit codes to read off a text

  • Hardware key option for anyone who can't use a phone at work

  • Cisco Duo Essentials, the same MFA KPA uses internally

Every System That Touches a Deal

  • The DMS, the CRM, email, and lender and OEM portals

  • Admins and employees, managed from one console

  • Each person signs in as themselves, so shared logins stop being a loose end

A Record You Can Hand Over

  • Access logs for your Qualified Individual, your auditors and your cyber insurer

  • Proof of MFA coverage when the FTC asks how you protect customer data

Regulatory Spotlight

FTC Safeguards Rule: Multifactor Authentication

The Safeguards Rule covers the customer information in every deal jacket: credit applications, Social Security numbers and license scans. It requires multifactor authentication for anyone who accesses an information system holding that information (FTC guidance).

Use Case: The Saturday Login

A salesperson is three deals deep on a Saturday when an email that looks like it came from a lender asks them to confirm a stip. They click, the page asks for their login, and they type it in. With a customer waiting, that’s a reasonable thing to do, and it’s exactly what the fake page was built for.

Without MFA, the attacker now has a working key to the DMS and every credit file in it. With Duo, that password is useless on its own: the login waits for a tap on the salesperson’s phone, and no tap means no way in. This is the moment the Safeguards Rule’s MFA requirement is written for.

Why It Matters
  • The human element was a component of 68% of breaches, and the median time to fall for a phishing email is under 60 seconds (Verizon 2024 Data Breach Investigations Report).

  • Simulated phishing failure rates fall from 34.3% to 4.6% after a year of training (KnowBe4, June 2024).
