COLUMBUS, Ohio – December 12, 2019 – KPA’s Senior Risk Management Consultant Glorianna L. Corman, REM, CHMM, CSP, has been appointed by Governor Mike DeWine to the Ohio Small Business Compliance Advisory Panel (CAP).
“At KPA, we’re proud of our experts like Glorianna, and their dedication to ensuring the safety and compliance of the business community,” says Zach Pucillo, CSP, CHMM, KPA’s Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor. “It’s a testament to Glorianna’s expertise that Ohio leadership asked her to serve as a voice for Ohio’s small businesses and their efforts to comply with state and federal environmental regulations.”
The Ohio CAP, which is officially called the Small Business Stationary Source Technical and Environmental Compliance Assistance Council, seeks to improve environmental performance at Ohio’s small businesses by providing input from the small business perspective on state environmental regulations and actions.
The advisory panel oversees the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency’s Small Business Assistance Program and Small Business Ombudsman to ensure these programs provide useful services and regulatory guidance to small businesses.
Finally, Ohio’s CAP participates in a national coalition of similar panels from other states who communicate small business needs to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Small Business Ombudsman.
At KPA, Corman is part of the Environmental, Health and Safety team of risk management consultants who analyze workplace conditions and environmental programs, conduct onsite training and safety meetings, and assist with the management, tracking and reporting of compliance issues.
Corman’s term on the Ohio CAP is from July 31, 2019 to July 30, 2023.
