KPA EHS Consultant Receives Environmental Leadership Award

Lafayette, Colo. – July 21, 2020 – KPA EHS Consultant, Glorianna L. Corman, REM, CHMM, CSP, has been selected for the 2020 Business Assistance Providers Environmental Leadership Award by the National Steering Committee (NSC) of Small Business Environmental Assistance Programs (SBEAPs) & Small Business Ombudsmen (SBO’s).

A Steward of Environmental Leadership

A KPA Senior Risk Management Consultant, Ms. Corman was selected for her leadership in improving environmental performance, pollution prevention, sustainability, and mentoring through collaboration with the Ohio Compliance Assistance and Pollution Prevention (OCAPP) program at the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.

The Assistant Chief of OCAPP, Dan Sowry, nominated Ms. Corman for her long-term partnership with the program’s efforts to improve the collision repair industry’s environmental knowledge and compliance through presentations to professional organizations, increasing the number of environmental topics at the annual Ohio BWC Safety Congress & Expo conference, reviewing and disseminating OCAPP publications, and promoting OCAPP’s services to thousands of Ohio’s small businesses over the past decade. In addition, Ms. Corman was recently appointed by Ohio Governor, Mike DeWine, as a member on OCAPP’s Compliance Advisory Panel.

“Glorianna Corman has been instrumental in promoting OCAPP’s services for over a decade. She routinely assists with, promotes and disseminates OCAPP’s services including the confidential environmental assistance, Permit Wizard, Recycling Directory, Ohio Materials Marketplace, Recycling and Litter Prevention grant program, Encouraging Environmental Excellence recognition program, and sustainability/P2 program.” Dan Sowry, Assistant Chief, OCAPP, wrote in his nomination.

“Glorianna’s dedication to safety and environmental compliance goes well beyond the services she provides KPA customers. She is a true champion for safety and environmental compliance to the entire business community, says Zach Pucillo, CSP, CHMM, KPA’s Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor. “This award is a testament to her hard work as a compliance professional.”

Exceptional Safety Consulting

At KPA, Corman is part of the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team of risk management consultants who analyze workplace conditions and EHS programs, conduct on-site EHS training and safety committee meetings, and assist with the management, tracking, and reporting of EHS compliance issues. Ms. Corman has received multiple certifications over the past decade including the REM (Registered Environmental Manager), the CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager), and the CSP (Certified Safety Professional). Corman says the key to her success is “constant learning and education, organizational involvement, and professional networking to stay on top of the constant change and update in the EHS industry.”
